Constant results over time: standard processing chemicals
The LifeRay XAD-3 developer has been designed to automatically process radiographic films in standard cycles (90-120 seconds), extended cycles (180 seconds) and rapid access cycles with laminar crystal films such as LifeRay XDA Plus and XLA Plus.
LifeRay XAD-3 is a three-part product with high chemical stability and excellent oxidation resistance, features that guarantee optimum and consistent results over time even under low productivity conditions. The LifeRay XAD-3 chemical formula and the anti-fogging agents optimization produce images with a cold tone, low granularity and minimum density. The LifeRay XAD-3 developer has been designed for use with the LifeRay XAF-3 fixer. The LifeRay XAF-3 fixer is a two-part product with fast fixing and high hardening power that guarantees high-quality images in terms of sensitometric parameters and physical properties. The LifeRay XAF-3 fixer has been designed to be compatible with fixing recycling systems to reduce the use of chemical products and, as a consequence, to lower costs and environmental impact.
Quality, ecology, economy: APS chemicals
The line of APS (Advanced Processing System) chemicals has been developed to create high image quality, to lower environmental impact and to reduce operating costs.
Quality
The new stable and oxidation-resistant chemical formula plus correct anti-foggants dosing guarantee optimum images for diagnoses that are constant over time.
Ecology
Since hardeners are not used in the LifeRay APS and APS HQ developers or in the LifeRay APS fixer and
because the fixer contains no sulphuric acid, the amount of pollutants in the LifeRay APS processing chemicals is greatly reduced, thus improving the work environment and drastically lowering environmental impact.
Elimination of aluminium sulphate in the LifeRay APS fixing formula reduces the amount of SO2 emissions in the work environment by 80%.
The revolutionary APS system, together with the laminar crystal films LifeRay XDA Plus and XLA Plus, reduce replenishment rates up to 60% and up to 30% with the other LifeRay films and with the Lifelmager IR Plus and HQ films.
The LifeRay APS line consists of single-part products that do not require any starters: this important feature enhances versatility (compatibility with in-line mixers) and lowers the quantities of plastic that need to be disposed or recycled.
Economy
Single-part products and reduced integration rates mean much lower operating costs. But economy also involves productivity: in fact, the line of LifeRay APS processing chemicals is compatible with Rapid Access cycles (38-45 seconds), with LifeRay XDA Plus and XLA Plus films and with 60-second cycles utilising the other LifeRay films as well as the Lifelmager IR Plus and HQ films.
Constant results over time: statistical control of the production process
All phases of the LifeRay processing chemical production process, from supply of raw materials to packaging, are controlled using statistical methods (SPC).
This guarantees high product consistency and reduces the differences between production batches to an absolute minimum.
